This little pondlet already had a couple of bullfrog tadpoles swimming around in it. A nearby sign promised some salamandery-type-things in the right season. I'm hoping we still have salamanders. Amphibians around here are taking a pounding.

I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't seen salamanders in a whole lot of years - more than I'd like to count. We have Tiger Salamanders here, but I've never seen one.

I do see various types of frogs now and then, which is always a delight.
